Scaled to 1 serving (0.16666666666666666x)

  • 0.33 lb ground beef, 80/20
  • 0.17 lb ground pork
  • 0.33 tbsp tallow or beef fat
  • 0.33 tbsp chili powder
  • 0.17 tbsp cumin
  • 0.17 tbsp paprika
  • 0.17 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.17 tsp onion powder

  • 0.33 cups beef bone broth

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat tallow in a dutch oven over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

  3. 3

Add the spices. Toast 60 seconds until fragrant.

  4. 4

Pour in bone broth. Scrape the pan to lift the fond.

  5. 5

Simmer uncovered 45-60 minutes until thick and the flavors meld. Stir occasionally.

  6. 6

Taste for salt. Serve with a spoonful of sour cream or shredded cheddar if your tier allows.
