- 6 fresh oysters in the shell, scrubbed (Buy live, tightly closed. Discard any that are open and do not close when tapped.)
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- flaky salt
- black pepper

Preheat grill on high.

Place oysters flat-side up on the grates. Close the lid.

Grill 4-6 minutes. The oysters will pop open when done. Discard any that refuse to open.

Wearing a glove or using tongs, open the shells the rest of the way with an oyster knife. Keep the oyster liquor in the bottom shell.

Drizzle 1 tsp melted butter over each oyster. Finish with flaky salt and pepper. Slurp straight from the shell while hot.
