Whole side of salmon, butter, salt, 400F oven. Easy dinner for four. Note: FDA recommends cooking fish to 145F internal. For medium (125F), use previously-frozen or farmed Atlantic salmon.

Ingredients

Scaled to 1 serving (0.25x)

  • 0.38 lb salmon side or fillet
  • 0.5 tbsp butter, melted
  • coarse salt
  • black pepper

Instructions

    Oven to 400F. Line a sheet pan with parchment.

    Place salmon skin-side down on the parchment.

    Brush with melted butter. Season with salt and pepper.

    Bake 12-15 minutes until the thickest part flakes with a fork and reads 125F for medium, 130F for medium well.

    Rest 3 minutes before portioning. Serve with any butter pooled on the parchment.
